Ben became a trainer in 2006, and has continued to challenge himself and his clients with innovative and creative training styles. From a young age, Ben has pushed himself to succeed in the physical arena. He played competitive field hockey and by the age of 15 was playing in the men’s competition. He then moved on to district levels for under 18’s.

To continue his personal goals, Ben started training from around the age of 15 with help from a personal trainer. This gave him a great foundation and strongly instilled the need to focusing on correct form rather than heavy weights in order to achieve an outcome. This philosophy flows though to his training with clients today.

Qualified as a personal trainer in 2006, Ben has continued to expand his learning. He has sort out his own targets via his kettlebell and strength work, and by completing certificate in these areas motivates his clients also with these newer techniques. In 2009, Ben began training in Mixed Martial Arts and Kick Boxing to not only set himself a new challenge, but also make sure his work outs with his client stay fresh and at the top of is field. No two sessions will ever be the same, and thus clients will enjoy the collections of principals Ben has gained from experts in their respective fields.

Ben has also travelled to the US to train at the elite conditioning centre Gym Jones. While there, he completed his CrossFit Level 1 Certificate and also worked with Josh Henkin, the leading Sandbag training expert.

Ben’s focus is on improving fitness with movements that mirror how the body moves. Sport specific training is his main goal for athletes of all levels that seek his training. Some people will never run a marathon, and some will never climb in to a ring, but pushing a client’s body past its imposed limits is always the motivation for Ben.
